Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, met with Daniel Hohn, the Swiss Ambassador to Iraq, yesterday Sunday.

During their meeting, they discussed the bilateral relationship between Switzerland and the Kurdistan Region, recent political developments in Iraq and the wider region, the formation of a new Kurdistan Regional Government cabinet, and ties between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad. They underlined the importance of resolving matters within the framework of the Constitution, along with other topics of mutual concern.

Both parties highlighted the need to strengthen Switzerland’s relations with both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. They stressed the significance of political unity among the region’s parties in establishing the new government.
