Maxim Rubin, the Russian Consul General to the Kurdistan Region, extended his warm congratulations to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee, marking the 50th anniversary of its founding, highlighting Russia’s appreciation for the PUK’s consistent stance in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
The Russian Consul's message to the PUK read:

On behalf of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate you and all members of the party on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan!
This significant milestone marks half a century of dedicated struggle for the rights of the Kurdish people, as well as for the development and stability of the Kurdistan Region. Over these years, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has followed a challenging path, becoming one of the key political forces that has made a substantial contribution to shaping a peaceful future for Kurdistan.
Russia highly values its longstanding ties with the Kurdish people and expresses deep appreciation for the PUK’s consistent stance in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation. I am confident that our friendly relations will continue to grow for the benefit of our peoples.
