Sulaymaniyah University Student Wins Three International Awards

A student from the University of Sulaymaniyah has earned international recognition by securing three prestigious awards at the Universal Youth Leadership Summit 2025.

Zand Hersh, a student in the Department of Filmmaking at the College of Arts, represented the University at the Universal Youth Leadership Summit 2025. He was honoured with awards for Best Leadership, Best Content Creation, and Best Representation.

The summit, held over four days in the Maldives, brought together 90 young participants from around the globe under the theme of Inclusivity and Diversity.

The Universal Youth Movement, which has organised the summit, is an international organisation with branches across several countries. The movement hosts a range of annual initiatives focused on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, societal empowerment, and creative thinking — both locally and globally. 

The movement serves as a dynamic platform for young people worldwide to share their ideas and collaborate on solutions to both local and global challenges.
