Global oil prices registered a modest rise on Wednesday, as ongoing geopolitical tensions continued to shape market sentiment. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed by $0.71, or 1.14%, closing at $62.74 per barrel. Brent crude similarly advanced by $0.69, or 1.06%, to reach $66.08 per barrel.

The upward movement follows reports suggesting potential military action in the Middle East, stoking fears of supply disruptions. Analysts indicate that escalating tensions in the region—particularly involving Israel and Iran—are contributing to short-term market volatility.

Traders are now paying close attention to diplomatic developments and forthcoming inventory data for further market cues. Despite the gains, prices remain confined within a relatively tight range, underscoring ongoing demand concerns alongside continued geopolitical risk.
