Delphi-Economic Forum.
The Governor of Sulaymaniyah has affirmed that the upcoming Delphi Forum Slemani will serve as a vital bridge between Sulaymaniyah and the wider world, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and cooperation across numerous key sectors.
Scheduled to take place on 18–19 May 2025, the Delphi Forum Slemani will be held under the oversight of Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Sulaymaniyah Governor Haval Abubakir emphasised the significance of the forum, which begins tomorrow, highlighting its role in promoting collaboration across a range of fields including investment, politics, governance, marketing, healthcare, technology, artificial intelligence, and more.
“It is essential that media outlets responsibly promote this forum and present the vibrant and progressive image of our province to the world. This conference will not only serve as a bridge to the international community but will also mark a step forward in Sulaymaniyah’s openness to global engagement,” said Governor Abubakir.
The Delphi Economic Forum is widely recognised as a strategic platform for dialogue, policy coordination, and regional development, addressing issues such as security, sustainable energy, economic diversification, and innovation, while also showcasing investment opportunities.
This marks the first time the Delphi Forum is being hosted in Sulaymaniyah, reflecting a major initiative to foster global dialogue with a particular focus on the Middle East.
The event will welcome prominent figures from Iraq, Greece, and other countries, including business leaders and investors from across the globe, all committed to shaping trade policies, development strategies, and regional cooperation.
Organised in partnership with the Kurdistan Regional Government, the forum is being held under the supervision of the General Secretariat for International Relations, the Foreign Affairs Department of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Enterprise Greece.
The Delphi–Sulaymaniyah Forum is poised to become a leading international platform for advancing policy dialogue, economic strategy, and cross-regional cooperation. At a time when global coordination is more vital than ever, Sulaymaniyah aspires to position itself as a connecting point between East and West.
