The PUK President's message said:
The PKK's decision to follow Mr. Abdullah Ocalan's call for self-dissolution and disarmament at this critical and sensitive stage marks a historic milestone, and we welcome it.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan remains firmly committed to the success of the peace process and will cooperate with and support all parties to ensure its success. We believe that disarmament is a vital component, but it must be accompanied by the implementation of all other steps within the process.
We proudly follow in the footsteps of President Mam Jalal, the first leader to take the initiative in advancing the peace process. Today, we carry forward his legacy by working to ensure the success of this historic step.
I would like to reaffirm that lasting stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through a peaceful resolution of the Kurdish issue.
I sincerely hope that the peace process in North Kurdistan and Turkey succeeds, paving the way for a new political and diplomatic chapter among all parties—one that fosters cooperation and brings positive change to the whole of Kurdistan.

The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan
