PUK Official Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Partnership in Meeting with Australian Ambassador

PUK’s Dr. Yousif Goran meets Australian Ambassador Glenn Miles.
Dr. Yousif Goran, head of the PUK’s General Studies Centre, welcomed the Australian Ambassador to Iraq, Glenn Miles, along with his accompanying delegation.
During their meeting, both parties discussed the PUK’s vision for the upcoming government in the Kurdistan Region. Dr. Goran remarked, “The PUK is committed to establishing a government focused on public service and grounded in genuine partnership.”
Commenting on the party’s stance regarding the broader regional situation, Dr. Goran stated, “The PUK firmly believes that dialogue and peace are the most effective approaches for all, and we are fully dedicated to this path. Our goal is to strengthen peace and foster a spirit of brotherhood throughout the area.”
Speaking on the situation in Iraq, he said, “The PUK aspires to see an Iraq free from conflict, where both its land and its people are safeguarded.”
In response, Ambassador Miles expressed his hope for the swift formation of the new government in the Kurdistan Region and conveyed his appreciation for the meeting with the PUK’s Studies Centre.
