PUK Assumes Nineveh's Wana Sub-District Director Position

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has been given the position of the director of Wana sub-district in Nineveh Province, as part of a broader reshuffle of government positions in the region.

Mohammed Kakai, a member of the Nineveh Provincial Council representing the PUK, told PUKMEDIA that the council had recently voted to replace several government officials in Nineveh. He confirmed that the PUK would assume the mayoralty of Makhmur District, as well as the directorships of both Wana and Sinuni sub-districts.

Kakai added that an official order had been issued by the Governor of Nineveh for Yasser Assaf Hassan to take up the role of director of Wana sub-district. Hassan is expected to assume his duties once routine legal procedures have been completed.

This move is part of ongoing administrative changes aimed at strengthening local governance in Nineveh Province.
