PUK Brings Kurdish Parties Together for SI Committee on Kurdish People's Meeting

SI Committee on Kurdish People's meeting.
The meeting of the Socialist International (SI) Committee on Kurdish People, took place under the supervision of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Sulaymaniyah on Saturday, 3 May 2025.
Dr. Jwan Ihsan, Member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), and Salar Sarhad attended the meeting which was supervised by Dr. Dara Khailany, Member of the PUK Leadership Council and Head of the party’s Foreign Relations Department.
The meeting was attended representatives from Kurdish political entities from all four parts of Kurdistan. These included the Democratic Union Party, the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, Kurdistan Komala Party, the Communist Party of Iran, and the Syrian Democratic Forces. All were present at the invitation of the PUK.
During the meeting, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the structure and operating principles of the Kurdish Committee, as well as the roadmap for future collaborative efforts. The aim of these discussions was to strengthen Kurdish unity and solidarity in the pursuit of shared goals and legitimate national rights.
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives from the participating parties expressed their appreciation to the PUK for its initiative in bringing together political organisations from all four parts of Kurdistan.
