Pire: PUK Advocates for Diplomatic Resolution to Political Issues

PUK Spokesperson Meets Iranian CG in Erbil.

Saadi Ahmed Pire, Member of the Political Bureau and Spokesperson of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Mr. Faramarz Asadi, the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Erbil today.

The meeting addressed the political situation in the surrounding region, with particular focus on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The Iranian CG stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran places significant importance on the political landscape in Iraq, especially in the Kurdistan Region, in pursuit of political stability, peace, the advancement of the political process, economic growth, greater prosperity, and the reinforcement of democracy in the area.

Pire emphasised that the PUK seeks a diplomatic resolution to political matters grounded in the provisions of Iraq’s permanent Constitution, through peaceful dialogue and the pursuit of a suitable solution that will ensure happiness and stability for the Iraqi people.
