Iraqi President: Diyala's Diversity Embodies the Spirit of National Coexistence

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, emphasised that the diversity which characterises Diyala Governorate is a source of pride, reflecting the spirit of true national coexistence, as it is home to various nationalities, religions, and sects who live together in peace and harmony.
During his meeting with tribal leaders and representatives from the different communities of Khanaqin District on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, His Excellency noted that the tribes have played a historic role in strengthening social cohesion and fostering unity among the people, as well as making a significant contribution to supporting security and stability.
President Rashid underscored that national duty requires all citizens to work responsibly to maintain security and stability, safeguarding the achievements made through the sacrifices of the people in the fight against terrorism. He also highlighted the importance of continuing the process of reconstruction, providing the best services to citizens, and improving their living conditions to meet their legitimate aspirations.
