Deputy PM Reaffirms Support for Türkiye’s Peace Process in Meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister

The meeting between Deputy PM and Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met with Nuh Yılmaz, Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister, on Friday.
The meeting, which was also attended by Daban Shadala, Deputy Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Department of Foreign Relations, covered a range of topics of mutual concern, including recent developments in Türkiye’s peace process. On this matter, Qubad Talabani reaffirmed both the KRG’s and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) support, stating: “We are ready to offer any assistance necessary to help ensure the success of the peace process in Türkiye.”
The discussion also touched on the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region, particularly the ongoing efforts to form a new government. Deputy PM commented that the talks were progressing positively and expressed optimism about establishing a strong and effective administration that reflects the hopes of the people.
Additionally, the two sides addressed the relationship between the PUK and Türkiye, underlining the importance of further strengthening these ties, which are said to be moving in a positive direction.
