Kosrat Rasul congratulated the people of Halabja after the Iraqi Parliament passed the Halabja Provincialisation Bill on Monday, 14 April 2025.
Kosrat Rasul's message said:
I extend my warmest congratulations to all the people of Halabja, the strugglers and heroes, and the families of the martyrs and victims of the chemical attack in Halabja.
The Kurdish blocs were able to pass the Halabja Provincialisation Bill through unity and solidarity in the Iraqi Parliament, giving the good news to the people of Halabja today, which marks the 37th anniversary of the Anfal disaster. I also extend my gratitude to all the Kurdish blocs, as well as to all the Iraqi forces and parties that supported and backed the enactment of this law.
I renew my congratulations to the struggling people of Halabja Governorate, and we hope to continue our struggle in a spirit of unity and solidarity to achieve our unfulfilled aspirations.
