Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, agreed on Friday, 11 April 2025, to coordinate on regional and international developments.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Presidency said in a statement received by PUKMEDIA, In a phone call with Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, President Rashid discussed the two neighbouring countries' bilateral relations and how to advance cooperation in a variety of areas of shared interest in a way that benefits both peoples and improves regional security and stability.

The statement added that during the call, the two sides talked about a variety of regional and global topics, highlighting the significance of maintaining cooperation between the two nations and stepping up constructive dialogue in order to overcome obstacles and strengthen the basis of stability and growth.

Additionally, it stated that coordination in handling regional and global events was decided upon, which would help to maintain political stability and ease regional tensions.
