PUK Forum 2025.
The Kirkuk preparatory conference for the 2nd Forum of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.
The 8th preparatory conference for the 2nd PUK Forum will take place in Kirkuk and will cover a wide range of crucial topics, according to the Secretariat of the Senior Committee responsible for organising the 2nd PUK Forum.
According to a statement released by the forum's Senior Committee, Kirkuk will host the eighth preparatory conference for the 2nd PUK Forum on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.
"The best policies for Kirkuk, Kurdistan, and Iraq, as well as the best ways to accomplish the PUK's objectives, shall be discussed by the Kirkuk-Saladin comrades," the statement said.
The 8th conference follows a series of preparatory conferences in Mosul, Badinan, Koya, Erbil, Garmian-Khanaqin, Halabja-Sharazur, and Sulaymaniyah.
The 2nd PUK Forum, which will be held under the slogan "A new vision, with strength, progress, and services," consists of these smaller preparatory conferences, during which intensive debates and dialogues are held to prepare for the themes to be deliberated upon during the broader forum.
The forum aims to develop and debate a new vision for the PUK's preparations for the next phase of political work and governance in the Kurdistan Region. It also seeks to enhance the PUK's position and influence both within the Region and internationally, by formulating strategies to adapt to the ongoing changes and developments.
According to the bylaws of the PUK, the party must hold periodic forums to prepare for a new stage of political life and governance. The 1st PUK Forum was launched on 12 March 2022 under the supervision of Qubad Talabani and concluded on 31 May 2022. It played a key role in shaping the party’s policies across various sectors and became a cornerstone of the PUK’s broader strategy.
