PUK, KDP Hold Positive Meeting

On Saturday, 22 February 2025, the two negotiating delegations of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) held a positive meeting in Sulaymaniyah, the two parties announced in a joint statement.

According to the statement, the meeting was held to present and discuss the report of the joint committee of both parties, which contained political and administrative perspectives, as well as steps connected to the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government's tenth cabinet and other institutions.

Regarding the content of the report, as per the statement, the comments of the negotiating delegations of both sides were presented and the proper mechanism for organising and agreeing on all matters was discussed.

"For this goal, the two negotiating delegations decided to continue their talks to gain greater understanding and design a common programme to benefit the Kurdistan Region's citizens," the statement read.
