PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with British Ambassador to Iraq Stephen Hitchen.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Stephen Hitchen, British Ambassador to Iraq.

The meeting examined the region's most recent political and security events, emphasising the need for maintaining regional and Iraqi stability.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasised the importance of protecting the rights of all parties within the framework of a new constitution that will bring peace and end the sufferings, and he stated that the Kurdish people must not be marginalised and must genuinely participate in Syria's reconstruction, as any attempt to do otherwise will be detrimental to the country.

Furthermore, President Bafel wished success to Stephen Hitchen in his future mission and reaffirmed the PUK's commitment to developing common values with the United Kingdom in a way that will strengthen the structure of the Kurdistan Region.
