PUK President: It is Our Collective Responsibility to Develop Kurdish Language

On International Mother Language Day, Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), promises to preserve the Kurdish language, stating that its everyone's duty to develop it.

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani said in a message on World Mother Language Day, which falls on February 21: "On World Mother Language Day, we honour all those who have been pioneers in protecting the Kurdish language. Our language is our identity. We shall proudly protect the survival and preservation of the beloved Kurdish language."

"It is our collective responsibility to develop and support all pens that preserve our language from distortion," he said.
