Asayish Arrests Two Drug Dealers, Prevents Drug Transport to Kirkuk

The Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency has announced the arrest of two drug dealers who were found in possession of 7 kilograms of marijuana, which they intended to transport to Kirkuk Province.

The Asayish Agency's Directorate of Drugs Elimination has arrested two drug dealers and seized 7 kilograms of marijuana. The individuals, based around Sulaymaniyah Province, were planning to transport the drugs to Kirkuk.

According to the Asayish Agency's statement, as part of the ongoing operations of the Directorate, on 2 February 2025, after conducting investigations and gathering information, and under the order of the security investigation judge, they successfully foiled a plot to transport drugs.
