PUK President, KRG PM Hold Constructive Meeting on Government Formation

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) met on Wednesday.

Both parties held a productive one-on-one meeting yesterday, Wednesday, 15th of January, 2025 that aimed at advancing discussions on the formation of the new cabinet of KRG.

The meeting, described as frank and constructive by Hoshyar Zebari, member of Kurdistan Democratic Party’s (KDP) Politburo on his X account, aligns with ongoing negotiations between the PUK and the KDP.
