Asayish Agency Arrests 3 on Human Trafficking Charges in Major Operation

The Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency has announced the arrest of three individuals on charges of human trafficking and the illegal transportation of refugees to the UK and Europe.
In a statement provided to PUKMEDIA, the Security Agency revealed that, during a security operation, forces from the General Directorate of Security in Sulaymaniyah, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Security in Erbil and the British National Crime Agency, apprehended the suspects involved in smuggling refugees into Britain and Europe.
The statement further explained that the operation followed extensive efforts in surveillance, auditing, and intelligence gathering, and was carried out after a decision was made by the investigating judge at the Security Agency. All members of the trafficking ring have been arrested and are currently under investigation.
