New Year Message: President Rashid Calls for Unity & Prosperity

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, extended his New Year greetings to the Iraqi people and the world on Tuesday, expressing his hope that the coming year would be filled with achievements and the fulfilment of the people’s aspirations. 

In a tweet on the X platform, President Rashid said, “As the new year begins, we offer our warmest congratulations and best wishes to our esteemed people, both at home and abroad, and to the entire world,” wishing for “a joyful year in which Iraqis and the peoples of the world experience security, safety, and prosperity.” 

He added: “We welcome 2025 with great hope, believing it will be a year of accomplishments and the realisation of our people’s hopes, requiring unity and continued collaboration to establish security, stability, ensure citizens’ safety, and meet their aspirations for a dignified life.”
