Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), congratulated Salahaddin Bahaaddin for his re-election as the secretary general (SG) of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) during the party's 9th congress.

President Bafel stated in his letter to the KIU SG and members: "We seize this opportunity to underscore the strengthening of relations and collaboration between us to foster healthy and service-oriented governance."

"I hope that we will collaborate in a brotherly and national spirit to strengthen Kurdistan and build a more stable future for our people," he remarked.

"I am confident that the recommendations and outcomes of your congress will align with this framework and contribute to the continued service of our nation," he stated.
