On Friday, December 13, 2024, the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displaced reported that 111 internally displaced persons (IDP) from the Debga camp in Erbil have returned to their homes in Nineveh.

The Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displaced has also announced that all necessary facilities and help will be extended to IDPs returning to their residences.

As part of the Iraqi Government's plans to end the IDP crisis in Iraq and close all IDP camps, the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displaced will allocate 4 million dinars in bank cheques, a piece of land, and job opportunities to each returning family.

Accordingly, 444 million dinars will be spent for the returning 111 IDPs.
