The Iraqi parliament is set to hold its 20th regular session today, Wednesday, to discuss several draft laws, with the amendment of the budget law being among the most significant items on the agenda.

Sabah Habib, a representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, informed PUKMEDIA that the session will feature the presence of the federal Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani.

He further noted that the session will see votes on the draft law for the National Intelligence Service and the proposed First Amendment to the Passports Law No. 32 of 2015.

Habib also explained that the session will feature the second reading of the draft law for the First Amendment to the Federal General Budget Law of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal years 2023-2024-2025, as well as the second reading of the draft law for the Fifth Amendment to the Civil Aviation Law No. (148) of 1974.
