Security Forces Arrest 2 Terrorists in Sulaymaniyah

The General Directorate of Operations of the Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency announced on Tuesday the arrest of two terrorists in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
In a statement received by PUKMEDIA, the General Directorate of Operations confirmed: "Following intelligence reports and a judicial order, a security operation was conducted on the night of 2 December 2024. This operation led to the arrest of two terrorists wanted by the Iraqi National Security Service in the vicinity of the Bani Magan area in Chamchamal District, Sulaymaniyah Governorate."
The statement identified the individuals as (M.A.H.) and (A.A.H.), who are sought under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law by Iraqi courts. The pair were previously armed members of the terrorist organisation ISIS and had taken part in numerous terrorist activities before fleeing to the Bani Magan area to evade capture. Due to the efforts of the General Directorate of Operations of the Asayish, they were apprehended and subsequently referred to the judiciary.
