Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, expressed his pride in Kirkuk, stating that the recent wave of residents returning to participate in the census once again proves that Kirkuk is a Kurdish city.

DPM Talabani emphasised that Kirkuk will always remain a Kurdish city, representing a symbol of peaceful coexistence. "The people of Kirkuk are the greatest defenders of its Kurdish identity," he said.

He also proudly shared his personal commitment to the city, saying, "Like any other Kirkuk resident, I proudly returned to Kirkuk and participated in the census process."
