Saadi Ahmed Pire, Spokesperson of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) received Andrew Bizley, the British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, on Tuesday, 11th December 2024.
During their meeting, they discussed several matters of mutual interest, especially the post-election stage in the Region. This is essential to ensure the prosperity, reconstruction, and a bright future for all the people of Kurdistan."
He went on to add: "This goal can only be realised by maintaining unity, solidarity, and a sense of responsibility among all political forces, which will help ensure political and economic stability and progress in the upcoming government."
In turn, British CG said: "The British government and people hold the Kurdistan Region and its role in high regard in the surrounding region. We hope that the political parties will find common ground and quickly form the new government cabinet."
