The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has announced that it will finalise its responses to the complaints lodged regarding the results of the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections today and subsequently send them to the Judicial Elections Board.

Jumana al-Ghalai, the Spokesperson for the IHEC, told PUKMEDIA: "On Sunday, the IHEC completed preparing responses to 12 complaints, and today it is finalising the response to the last complaint. In total, the Commission will have addressed 41 complaints regarding the results of the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections for 2024. Several days ago, it sent responses to 28 of those complaints to the IHEC's Judicial Board."

The elections for the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliament were held on October 20, 2024, across four electoral constituencies, with final results announced on October 30, 2024. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) secured significant victories across all four constituencies, increasing its vote share and number of seats, ultimately winning 23 seats.
