On Thursday, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabro, announced that 326 displaced individuals from Mam Rashan camp in Duhok Governorate had returned to their homes in Sinjar district, Nineveh Governorate. This repatriation is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to implement a programme for the return of displaced persons.

The Ministry of Migration highlighted that the return was conducted in cooperation with regional authorities, local governments, and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). As part of the government's support programme, those returning will receive financial grants and humanitarian assistance to aid their reintegration.

In line with the instructions of the Federal Council of Ministers, each returning family will be given 4 million dinars, a plot of land, and additional support. The total financial aid provided for the 326 returnees to Sinjar is approximately 1.3 billion dinars.
