PUK Spokesperson: PUK Seeks Diplomatic Resolution to Political Matters

PUK Spokesperson Saadi Ahmed Pire and Nasrollah Rashnoudi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Saadi Ahmed Pire, spokesperson for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024.
The delegation included Nasrollah Rashnoudi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kurdistan Region, and a number of advisors and diplomats of that country.
The political climate in the region as a whole, and Iraq and the Kurdistan Region specifically, were the topics of discussion during the meeting.
The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran places significant emphasis on the political landscape in Iraq, especially in the Kurdistan Region, to ensure political stability, peace, advancement of the political process, economic development, enhanced prosperity, and the fortification of democracy in the region."
Pire emphasised that the PUK seeks a diplomatic resolution to political matters in accordance with the stipulations of the permanent Iraqi constitution, advocating for peaceful dialogue to achieve a suitable solution that will foster happiness and stability for the Iraqi people.
Upon the conclusion of his tenure as Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Pire expressed gratitude to Rashnoudi for his significant contributions to enhancing political, economic, and cultural relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region, and extended wishes for his success in future endeavours.
