The Spokesperson for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) List 129 announced after the announcement of the Kurdistan parliamentary election results that the PUK's votes have increased significantly and that a new model of governance will begin in the Kurdistan Region."
PUK 129 Spokesperson Karwan Gazneyi said during a message to the media: "We extend our gratitude to the Kurdish populace for executing a peaceful campaign in the Kurdistan Region and express our apologies to the citizens of the Kurdistan Region for any inconvenience created during the campaign process. We express our gratitude for their endeavours to ensure the success of the list of martyrs (PUK List)."
He further stated: "In light of the PUK's triumph, we highlight several points: the esteemed citizens of Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, Garmian, and Raparin administrations have entrusted their political allegiance to the PUK, marking a significant accomplishment for the party. Your vote is a trust we bear, and it will be our foremost priority to serve you and establish a new governance model in the Kurdistan Region."
He added: "Your PUK, led by President Bafel, realigned the balance of power, and following the announcement of the results, we declared the end of authoritarianism in the Region. By increasing the PUK's votes to 90.2%, we successfully secured victory in this election. No political entity can autocratically run the primary nodes of government. We will declare success and more significant outcomes for the forthcoming elections."
