PUK President: Time has Come to Decide

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), shares a message, urging voters to vote for the one that can change and correct the course of governance.

"The time has come to decide. You know who can change and correct the course of governance. Go vote tomorrow and send them back home," President Bafel said in his message.

Adding: "You told me that you are very unhappy. After a month of campaigning and exchanging views, it's time to make a decision. You know who can change and end this unpleasant policy. You know who to vote for after yesterday's voting results."

"I ask you to go and vote tomorrow so that we can take Kurdistan to a better stage together. Let's send them back home together," he said.

The special voting for the Kurdistan parliamentary elections took place on Friday, October 18, 2024, where security forces participated and cast their votes. The general elections for the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliament are set to take place on October 20, 2024. 

The PUK 129 spokesperson for declared that the PUK is the winner in the special voting of security services in the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, as the party's votes have surged by approximately 32,000, establishing it as the first list in terms of votes received in the special voting compared to a previous election.
