Halabja Achieves 93% Turnout in Special Voting, Highest in Kurdistan Region

The Special Voting Process.
The voting rate in the Halabja constituency reached 93%, making it the highest rate among all four provinces of the Kurdistan Region. The process is being carried out under the supervision of representatives from political parties as well as international and local organisations.
Of the 952 individuals eligible to vote in Halabja, 883 have already cast their votes, leaving just 69 yet to participate. According to the representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) at the Burhan polling centre in Halabja, who spoke to PUKMEDIA, the turnout has reached 88.3%, the highest among all four constituencies.
Only 69 voters remain to cast their votes, and the process is proceeding very peacefully in accordance with the commission's guidelines. There are no issues, and the voting is taking place in the presence of representatives from political parties, as well as international and local organisations.
This morning, the special voting process for the elections of the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliament commenced, with participation from the Peshmerga forces and security personnel. Polling stations opened at 7 am and will close at 6 pm.
