PUK 129 Spokesperson: KDP is Facing Significant Defeat

Karwan Gazneyi, Spokesperson for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) List 129 for the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections, stated at a press conference: "The voice that was published is not real; it is fake. The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is facing a significant defeat and is attempting to create problems for the elections."

Gazneyi said: "The article was generated using artificial intelligence via the ElevenLabs website, which requires text and audio to create content like this that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has published," he stated. "I suggest they create it in Kurdish using the Hugging Face website."

He further added: “We understand that the KDP is in a situation that no one desires and anticipates a tough electoral defeat. The KDP is so desperate to commit fraud, despite knowing they cannot manipulate the elections. As a result, they are faking the votes of Mr. Bafel Jalal Talabani and Qubad Talabani.”

“Therefore, we declare to the people of the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) that these misrepresentations are merely an attempt to obstruct the elections. They seek to evade the electoral process because they know a significant defeat awaits them, and the surprise of this election will be the PUK,” stated Karwan Gazneyi.

"We do not understand does the KDP, through its second deputy leader, intends to lead the government and the KDP towards reform or a film company? Every day, they create scenarios under various names, but unfortunately, they have not succeeded in it. This goes against public morality and misuses technology against culture, instead of leveraging it for societal development. Therefore, we will take legal action and request the prosecutor general to address this issue, and not allow a party to exploit this matter out of fear of the elections," he added.

The spokesperson for the 129th list also stated: "Therefore, we tell the KDP that neither artificial intelligence nor fraud will save you. You and we can be sure that you will face a significant electoral defeat, which is the consequence of the starvation and arrest of freedom fighters and the flawed policies of the Prime Minister."

Today, the KDP, through its High Elections Committee, released a statement based on a fake recording of Bafel Jalal Talabani and Qubad Talabani. As Qubad Talabani stated, "This is a low act of fraud." The PUK media also replied briefly: "Not even artificial intelligence can save you."
