President Rashid Emphasises Unity & Collaboration in Kirkuk

President of the Republic of Iraq Abdullatif Jamal Rashid convened a meeting with heads of administrative units, tribal chiefs, and community leaders in Kirkuk Governorate. The gathering, aimed to address pressing issues and foster collaboration between the government and community representatives.
In his opening remarks, President Rashid expressed his pleasure in visiting Kirkuk, highlighting its significance as a smaller version of Iraq, rich in cultural diversity and natural resources. He emphasised the importance of strategically utilising these assets to drive economic growth and ensure that all communities in the province benefit.
The President stressed the need for unity among citizens to cultivate a collective spirit that would aid in the reconstruction of the governorate and improve its infrastructure. He highlighted that such solidarity is essential for overcoming challenges and achieving a prosperous future for Kirkuk.
As discussions progressed, he addressed the critical role of Kirkuk’s administrative leaders in fostering development across various sectors, including security, education, healthcare, public services, and the economy. He acknowledged their responsibility to promote effective local governance and ensure that decision-making meets citizens’ needs.
“Fostering security and stability, along with promoting community values, is a vital role that tribal leaders and elders play,” President Rashid noted.
He assured participants that the presidency would work closely with all stakeholders to support these efforts, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued in the pursuit of shared community goals.
