Iraqi President & Kirkuk Governor Discuss Development & Cooperation in Kirkuk

Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid met with Kirkuk Governor Rebwar Taha to discuss a wide range of issues affecting the governorate.
During their meeting, President Rashid reviewed the current state of affairs in Kirkuk, focusing on the development plans designed to address the needs of the local residents. He emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts to improve conditions across all sectors and highlighted the necessity of fostering brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities.
“The rich diversity and strategic significance of Kirkuk make it an exemplary model for construction, reconstruction, and development,” President Rashid stated. “It is crucial that we implement comprehensive, integrated plans to strengthen the social fabric and expedite the pace of reconstruction.”
He also stressed the need for greater harmony and cooperation between the Kirkuk Provincial Council and the local government, ensuring that improved services are delivered effectively to the people.
Governor Taha welcomed President Rashid’s visit and expressed his deep appreciation for the President's commitment to addressing the challenges facing the governorate. He assured President Rashid that every effort would be made to overcome obstacles and meet the needs of Kirkuk’s citizens, ensuring their well-being and prosperity.
