He said: "Mam Jalal devoted his life to the fight for freedom—freedom for the Kurdish people, national freedom for Iraq, and the elimination of dictatorship. His principles of democracy, human rights, women’s rights, and social justice guided every aspect of his work. His belief in unity, diversity, and coexistence was central to his vision of Iraq as a nation of many cultures and faiths, intertwined like a bouquet of flowers."
"As we gather here in Kirkuk, we remember Mam Jalal’s deep connection to this city. He viewed Kirkuk not just as a place of great wealth but as a smaller version of Iraq’s rich diversity. For him, the city’s population—a blend of Kurds, Arabs, Turkmen, and Christians—symbolised the broader cultural and religious tapestry of our nation," he added, "Mam Jalal believed that addressing Kirkuk’s complex challenges required dialogue, cooperation, and a commitment to peaceful coexistence. His national perspective and dedication to unity were instrumental in fostering a policy of brotherhood and harmony among the city’s diverse communities."
