Qubad Talabani, supervisor of the electoral campaign of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) List 129 in the Raparin Administration, announced that the PUK is the only party capable of correcting the course of governance in the Kurdistan Region.

During a press conference, Talabani stated: "The citizens of the Kurdistan Region have great confidence in the PUK and its efforts to strengthen democracy and ensure citizens' rights in the Kurdistan Region."

He added: "The PUK's electoral campaign is progressing well, positioning the party as the entity capable of correcting the course of governance in the Kurdistan Region. It is now evident to everyone that the PUK is the only party that can correct the course of government and rectify the errors, and the public has great hope in the PUK and its President, Bafel Jalal Talabani."

He explained: "The PUK aims to establish a government that resolves the existing issues with the federal government and we must have a government that earns the citizens' trust to effectively tackle all challenges with the Iraqi federal government. An effective parliament and a competent government will facilitate problem resolution."

He further said, "The PUK is an ailing party with a multifaceted message. We take pride in the history of the PUK and must derive lessons from our achievements to nurture a new generation in the Kurdistan Region dedicated to serving the nation."

Adding: "We are approaching pivotal elections in the Kurdistan Region. We have exerted significant effort to conduct these elections, and by depending on the electorate's votes, we will endeavour to alter the system and correct the course of governance."

The sixth term of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2024. The PUK is contesting with PUK List 129 and 172 candidates under the slogans "Correcting the Course of Governance" and "We Will End It."
