Leader of PUK List in Sulaymaniyah: I Want to Fight for You

Leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) List 129 in Sulaymaniyah Constituency announced: "I want to fight with all my power as a Peshmerga for the health of your children, families, parents and relatives. My weapon and power is your vote and trust."

"I did more than I could"

Dr. Miran Mohammed, the leader of the PUK List 129 in Sulaymaniyah constituency, said in a message: "I have always been modest towards citizens. Whenever I have been in power, I have felt more inferior to those who need me. If you are wondering why I am here, I have been in this turmoil of the health sector for decades that affects individual citizens.”

He added, "I understand the suffering to its entirety. I am aware of the deficiencies and I know how to fix them. If you are asking, "Why have you not done that?" I shall subject you to a moral trial. Ask those who worked with me. All will attest that I have done more than I could, yet I now need more strength."

"I want to fight for you"

"I want to fight for you with all my power for the health of your children, family, parents, and relatives throughout the entirety of my life. This requires strength, and that strength lies in you—your votes and your trust," Dr. Mohammed said.

"I have witnessed the sobs of children suffering from cancer firsthand. I have seen children with thalassemia. I saw the frail strides of elderly mothers who visited public hospital pharmacies, only to return disappointed due to the absence of medication," he added.

"I have witnessed the frigid and warm beds of hospitals; I have observed the chilling breaths of hundreds of patients; I got here because of these pains. I came to fight as a Peshmerga. My weapon and power are your votes and trust," he said.

The sixth term of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2024. The PUK is contesting with PUK List 129 and 172 candidates under the slogan of "Correcting the Course of Governance and "We Will End It."
