Shalaw Kosrat Rasul emphasised the significance of Erbil and pledged to restore it to its original inhabitants and strive to eradicate every form of discrimination.
Shalaw Kasrat Rasul stated during a meeting with the people of Erbil that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) wants the next government to prioritise servicing all inhabitants equally, without bias towards any particular city or area in the Kurdistan Region. He also emphasised their determination to return Erbil to its original inhabitants.
He also stated that the Kurdistan Regional Government being run by a single party is unacceptable. He emphasised the importance of a strong parliament that resolves issues through lawmaking rather than being influenced by a single party's preferences and decisions.
Shalaw Kosrat Rasul explained that the people of Kurdistan are fully aware of the substantial sacrifices made by the PUK to promote democracy. He added that the PUK is dedicated to maintaining this approach by working to enhance services and improve the standard of living for citizens.
Shalaw Kosrat Rasul highlighted, "Many projects are being carried out in Erbil under the name of assisting needy families, but only the powerful and wealthy benefit from them, while the original residents of Erbil are excluded and forced to live in rented accommodations. We are devoted to assisting and supporting all citizens, with the support of the general public, martyr families, and veteran Peshmergas."
He concluded by promising the citizens that their initial focus would be on addressing salary issues and improving employee conditions, followed by generating job opportunities for young people and graduates. He also noted, "It is clear to everyone that the PUK has provided women with rights and positions of power within the party, and has consistently upheld and respected women's rights."
