IHEC: Over 200,000 Voters are Yet to Collect Their Voting Cards

The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) spokesperson announced the number of voter cards in the Kurdistan Region provinces, stating that out of the total of 2 million 899 thousand 578 voting cards, 2 million 685 thousand 466 have been retrieved by their owners, while 214 thousand 112 people have yet to collect their cards.

Jumana al-Ghalai, Spokesperson of the IHEC, told PUKMEDIA: "Out of the 1 million 15 thousand 588 voting cards in the Erbil province, 943 thousand 27 cards have been retrieved by their owners, while 72 thousand 561 cards remain uncollected, indicating that 92.86% of the total voting cards have been collected." 

She added: "Of the 1 million 83 thousand 248 voting cards in the Sulaymaniyah province, 970 thousand 691 cards have been retrieved by their owners, while 112 thousand 557 cards remain uncollected, indicating that 89.61% of the total voting cards have been collected." 

"Of the 737,859 voting cards in the Duhok province, 701,958 have been retrieved by their owners, with 25,901 remaining uncollected, indicating that 96.49% of the total voting cards have been collected," she stated.

"In the Halabja province, 59,790 of the 62,883 voting cards have been retrieved by their owners, leaving 3,093 uncollected, indicating that 95.08% of the total voting cards have been collected," she said.
