Asayish Arrests Two Drug Dealers in Sulaymaniyah

The Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency's Directorate of Drugs Elimination has apprehended two individuals involved in drug trafficking in Sulaymaniyah Province.

In the statement, Asayish Agency stated: "The Directorate of Drugs Elimination of the Security Agency, in collaboration with the Sulaymaniyah Security Directorate, arrested two drug dealers in the Sarchnar neighbourhood of Sulaymaniyah on August 26, 2024. The arrest was ordered by the security investigation judge, and a total of over 14 kilogrammes of crystal drugs were seized."

According to the statement, a security personnel was injured during the clash, and while investigations are still ongoing, the suspects are being held under Article 25 of the law against drugs.
