Kirkuk Governor Rebwar Taha has called upon the offices and administrative units in Kirkuk to incorporate Turkmen and Syriac languages, alongside Kurdish and Arabic, for the purpose of official documentation.

Governor Taha promptly executed the order by regularly posting his daily activities in Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen, and Syriac languages on the official Facebook page of Kirkuk Governorate.

A letter signed by Kirkuk governor, a copy of which was sent to PUKMEDIA, stipulates that Turkmen and Syriac languages should be used in official documents alongside Kurdish and Arabic languages.

"Brotherhood is the identity of Kirkuk," Kirkuk Governor wrote in the letter.

The former acting governor of Kirkuk disregarded these languages and abstained from using them in official documentation, despite Kirkuk being a province with multiple communities.
