Rebwar Taha Takes Office as Kirkuk Governor

Rebwar Taha, Kirkuk Governor
Rebwar Taha, Kirkuk's newly elected governor, took the legal oath of office today in Kirkuk Court. This is part of the procedure for him to assume his duties as Governor of Kirkuk.
Following his official swearing-in, Kirkuk Governor Taha affirmed in a press statement that his administration's primary objectives are to enhance brotherhood and harmony in Kirkuk, as well as to deliver excellent services to the residents.
He stated that the utmost effort would be made to bolster security and safety, enhance service quality, restore infrastructure, prioritise various sectors, and utilise the abundant resources in Kirkuk to promote the living conditions and well-being of the residents.
He further said: "We affirm our commitment to use this position as a means to foster political and social harmony, reinforce the idea of diversity, and enhance the sense of unity and coexistence among all communities of Kirkuk without any discrimination.
Furthermore, upon arriving at his office, Tahastated during a press conference: "Our collective goal is to collaborate in order to ensure the city's stability, a desire shared by all of us, and we are determined to achieve it." We do not want the destruction of the future of the sons of Kirkuk, and we will not allow the people of Kirkuk to be subjected to the consequences of political disputes. We shall coexist and collaborate harmoniously, sharing a unified identity centred around Kirkuk, which is beneficial for all parties involved."
He added: "Our objective is to transform Kirkuk into a model province and strengthen the harmonious coexistence of its diverse communities." I pledge to provide equal service to all communities without any form of discrimination, and we will ensure the safety of Kirkuk."
