Kurdish-French Trade Forum to Take Place Soon

Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met with Yann Braem, the French Consul General in the Region, to discuss the arrangements for the next French-Kurdish Trade Forum, which is scheduled to take place in Paris in September.
During today's meeting in Erbil, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Qubad Talabani expressed his support for the French-Kurdish Trade Forum in Paris. He also conveyed the Region's willingness to provide full support and resources to ensure the forum's success.
The French Consul General highlighted the significance of the economic reforms implemented by the Deputy Prime Minister and urged Talabani to actively engage in the forum.
The meeting also addressed the issue of investment, with the Deputy Prime Minister emphasising the importance and necessity of French investment in the region. He stated that the Kurdistan Region provides all necessary resources and assistance to French investors. Both parties agreed that French investment in Kurdistan should be expanded, and they stressed the importance of the government's commitment to providing assistance and facilities to ensure the success of investment projects in the region.
