PUK President's meeting with members of Nineveh Provincial Council
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed a delegation from the Nineveh Provincial Council at Dabashan in Sulaymaniyah Province.
The meeting focused on coordinating efforts and unifying actions to serve and rebuild the province. They stressed increasing cooperation and collaboration among all parties to ensure a more stable future and prevent any obstacles that could negatively impact the situation in the province.
President Bafel commended members of the Nineveh Provincial Council for following proper legal procedures when implementing administrative changes. He emphasised the significance of safeguarding the rights of the victorious political parties in the province as a crucial measure to maintain the diversity within Nineveh, where it plays a crucial role in establishing stability in the area. Additionally, President Bafel expressed the PUK's support for any initiative that aims to serve the citizens and contribute to the province's reconstruction.
President Bafel emphasised that the newly formed Nineveh Provincial Council accurately represents the people and reflects their aspirations. He also expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration and coordination among the parties in governing the province.
