Importers, Exporters Union: Kurdistan Region, Türkiye have Strong Economic Ties

The Kurdistan-Türkiye Economic Forum was held in Sulaymaniyah on Sunday, July 21, 2024, and the President of the Kurdistan Region's Importers and Exporters Union emphasised the Kurdistan Region's long-standing and robust commercial ties with Türkiye.
During a press conference at the forum, Mustafa Abdulrahman, President of the Kurdistan Region's Importers and Exporters Union, emphasised the Kurdistan Region's long-standing economic ties with neighbouring countries, particularly Türkiye.
He stated that they will strengthen these ties through collaborative efforts, with the goal of facilitating coordination between Kurdish and foreign companies to carry out joint projects.
"Our goal as importers and exporters in the Kurdistan Region is to promote collaboration between foreign companies and Kurdish investors in order to establish investment firms in the region. This will allow us to export products from the Kurdistan Region," he explained.
The Kurdistan-Türkiye Economic Forum attracted a large number of entrepreneurs from Sulaymaniyah and Türkiye. The event featured approximately 21 companies from various sectors, including food, electricity, and glass, showcasing their products.
