Asayish Forces Destroy Several Terrorist Bases in Daquq

The Kurdistan Region's Security Agency (Asayish) has successfully eradicated several Islamic State (ISIS) bases in the Daquq district.

The Asayish has announced that, based on extensive intelligence and investigations with a captured terrorist, they have successfully coordinated with Iraqi security forces to identify and target ISIS hideouts and bases near Mount Zambur in the Daquq district. On July 14, 2024, a bombing operation was carried out, resulting in the complete destruction of all terrorists and their bases.

According to the statement, the operation was executed by the General Directorate of Security (Asayish) Operations, the Iraqi National Security Agency, and Iraqi F-16 fighter jets.

A member of the Kurdistan Region's Security Agency was martyred during a clash between two gunmen affiliated with the ISIS on Sunday, July 14, 2024. One of the terrorists was killed and the other was captured, according to a statement by the Asayish.
