Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), offered congratulations to Sir Keir Starmer, the newly appointed British Prime Minister.

PUK President said in his congratulatory message: "Congratulations to PM Keir Starmer the newly elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I also would like to congratulate the Labour Party on the victory in this election."

"UK and the Kurdish people have strong historical ties and we look forward to continued and stronger relations under your premiership," he added.
